I offer what I like to think of as creative interpretations of the world that surrounds us. Emergent Studios is multifaceted. I endeavour to produce creative work through graphic illustrations, communication and information design and fine art - all of which are interwoven within one another in some form. My primary objective is to invite curiosity and to increase our understanding of the subject matter. My work is heavily science focused, typically veering towards macro ecology, conservation, and natural history. However, I invite all forms of illustrative and communicative ideas. While I create a lot of pieces that are marine focused, I invite creation in all its forms.

Graphic Illustration

My graphic illustration work can be as simple as logo design and as complex web design and figure drawing. I have worked on projects including illustrating species, textbook chapter covers, scientific posters and workshop booklets. Communication Design
A place where your concepts, ideas and results are explored and described through visual mediums. A place where we work to enhance your ability to communicate complex concepts. These can through graphical abstracts, 2D animations, posters, figures, book covers, pamphlets, workshops etc. The primary focus of Communication Design is to determine how to present your work to different audiences in a way that will be captivating, exciting and informative.
Fine Artwork

All of my wonderments and creative thoughts played out through a variety of mediums. The artwork created in my fine art section is typically work that I create outside of my business and that keeps me grounded and connected to why I loved art in the first place.
